Hungarian Sci-Fi Film Has American Premiere

The Hungarian director Pater Sparrow’s science fiction feature 1 will have its North American premiere at Montreal’s FanTasia Festival on July 20.

The film, based on Stanislaw Lem’s essay One Human Minute, will be one of more than a hundred to be screened at the festival, which runs from July 8 until 28.

The film took the audience prize for best film at the Granada International Young Directors Festival. It won the best director and best male lead awards at Fantasporto 2010 in Porto.
