The exhibition will open in Budapest's Music History Museum, which has been renovated especially for the show, on May 26 and run until March 31, 2010. It will present handwritten music scores, first editions, librettos, performance flyers, costume designs, letters and musical instruments. Haydn's works will be shown among artwork and everyday objects from the age in which he lived.
The exhibition is made up of objects from more than 30 collections on loan from 14 institutions.
Audio guides will be offered to help visitors better understand the exhibition.
