(MTI) - Rozsak Square was turned into a war-stricken scenery with wrecked Eastern-European cars, sandbags and barricades for the film temporarily dubbed Untitled Bosnian War Love Story.
The film is co-produced by Graham King, the Academy Award winning producer of The Departed.
Shooting in Hungary started two weeks ago. Jolie, her children, and partner Brad Pitt moved to the city for the filming. The family is now living in a rented villa in the Buda hills.
Angelina Jolie, 35, has visited Bosnia twice in the capacity of UN refugee agency goodwill ambassador. It was during her latest visit in August that she disclosed her plan to direct a film with the involvement of actors and actresses from the region.
Jolie, who will not feature in the film, has selected Zana Marjanovic, a 27-year-old Bosnian actress, for the main female role.
Later on, the crew will move to Bosnia and Serbia to shoot further scenes.
