Art Market Budapest Highlights Jewish Culture

As part of the fair?s artistic programme, an exhibition of work that pays tribute to those who perished in the Holocaust entitled Waldsee 1944 will open in New York on May 29. The show features foreign artists such as William Kentridge and Sylvia Plachy, as well as the Hungarians György Kemény, János Majos, János Megyik, Bálint Nagy, László Rajk, Gábor Roskó, Lenke Szilágyi and Kamilla Szíj. The concept of the show is based on postcards Jews in Auschwitz were forced to send to their family, informing them all was well at ?Waldsee?.
 
Art Market Budapest 2012 will take place at the Millenáris Cultural Centre in Budapest on November 8-11.
