In the spirit of the Victor Vasarely Colourful City concept, more than a thousand square metres will be painted at Florian Square, Moscow Square and the District V fire department building. A dozen sculptures will be erected along with other aesthetic additions to these public spaces.
?The works of art to be created generate ideas, feelings and show examples to follow about some of the most urgent problems of our time such as protection of nature, sustainable lifestyle, recycling, pollution, and responsibility for tomorrow,? the programme organisers say on their website. ?The people we want to reach out to are the locals, artists, civil organizations, and the government bodies and decision makers responsible for forming the cityscape.?
