The tower before reconstruction |
The Foundation for Budapest World Heritage has launched an international fundraising initiative for the tower.
This has been the most significant reconstruction project of a historic monument in Budapest since the 1970s.
The award was granted at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences on the 22nd anniversary of Budapest's inclusion in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
