"Using the lines of her body and her thoughts, Fuchs offered a sensual and complete image of human existence," the jury said of the winning piece. "She opened a door to our own imagination."

The 11th Solo Dance and 9th Duo Dance competitions were hosted by Budapest's MU Theatre on January 8-10.

The Dutch choreographer Brian Tjin Tjauw Lien's piece entitled ...in the stillness between two waves of the sea... won the best duo dance production award.

"The duo invites us to a world without limits where we all have to redefine ourselves. Every detail has its place and reason in this choreography," the jury said.

The winners performed their pieces at the Millenáris Theatre on January 12. The evening also featured special guests Péter Gerzson Kovács and Miklós Lukács.
