Bartók Dance Theatre Sets Up Workshop

English

The dance theatre has turned itself into a creative workshop, offering time and space to young choreographers with an interest in experimenting with new forms of expression in a creative and supportive environment.

The theatre has established some rules for productions created at the workshop: they must exhibit the recognisable use of folklore, dance must be an integral element, props may not be used, and performances may not exceed 15 minutes in length.

This year, nine young IKF choreographers will see their productions on the stage of the Bartók Dance Theatre. They are all graduates of the Hungarian Dance Academy.
