The recording of Music for Strings, Percussion and Celesta; Divertimento for strings; and Hungarian Sketches for orchestra by the Hungarian National Philharmonic under the baton of Zoltán Kocsis, was named Album of the Month in BBC Music Magazine?s September issue.
?The playing has tremendous rhythmic energy and exhilaration,? the critic Eric Levi wrote in the review.
The disc, released in March, is part of the New Bartók Series, a collection of the oeuvre of the Hungarian composer Béla Bartók.
