Béla Pintér Troupe Brings Korcula to Helsinki

English

Korcula examines a seaside resort in Croatia where foreign holiday makers turn to the sun to resolve their problems. Music forms an integral part of the play, which is performed in Hungarian, German, Italian, English and Croatian, though with English supertitles.

The play will be performed in Helsinki's new Korjaamo cultural centre, in the heart of the city, director of the Hungarian Scientific and Cultural Centre in Helsinki Éva Pap said. The complex - in a former factory building - includes a theatre, cinema, exhibition space, clubs and bars, making the venue a perfect meeting place.

Korjaamo maintains close links with other cultural centres in Europe and it is part of the European Network of Independent Cultural Centres.
