The soft core of "human state" is the real protagonist in Tarr's universe. Each one of his works is an effort to approach artistically the human reality, in its naked, chaotic form, deprived of name-giving ornaments, dramatic tricks or any kind of narration-technical conventions. Tarr realizes very quickly the inevitable of human nature, the drama of the existence, regardless the sociopolitical environment. His lens sees even deeper into the human psyche, sinks to the bottom of the hell he breed inside. Each one of his films is a new twist that disposes of the conventions shedding their shadow on the truth.
