The BFO will tour the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and France, playing altogether five concerts between April 29 and May 5. The orchestra, under the baton of Iván Fischer, will perform at the Fritz Phillips Hall in Eindhoven, the Alte Oper in Frankfurt, the Gasteig Cultural Centre in Munich and the Arsenal in Metz. On the programme will be Mozart's Violin Concerto in A Major, K.219, with Hahn as the soloist, and Dvorák's Symphony No. 7.

The BFO will repeat the programme in Budapest on May 8-10. Channel Classics will make a recording of the Dvorák symphony at the Palace of Arts on one of the evenings.

Hahn is no stranger to the BFO. She played Bernstein's Serenade with the orchestra in 1994, at the age of 14, at the Liszt Academy of Music. Now, 29, she has become one of the most celebrated soloists on the international music scene.
