Buda Palace Hosts Special Saturday Evening Programmes

The first ?Musical Saturday Evening at the Royal Palace?, on September 2, will feature a performance of Vivaldi?s Four Seasons by the Trió Grande orchestra. While the concert starts at 20:00 on the first storey of the palace?s C building, visitors can take guided tours of the Habsburg Nádori crypt, underneath the building, starting at 19:00. The terrace around the buildings cupola will also be open to visitors from 18:30 until 21:30, weather permitting.

At the Budapest History Museum, in the palace?s E building, visitors can take a guided tour of the exhibition ?Gothic Statues From the Royal Palace of Buda? at 18:30. And at the National National Széchényi Library, in the palace?s F building, visitors can take a tour of the exhibition ?Myth and Reality ? The Writing of Latin Histories in Hungary in the 15th-18th centuries starting at 18:45.

On September 16, the National Széchényi Library will host a concert by the group Misztrál at 20:00. Tours of the building in which the library is housed will start at 18:45.

The Budapest History Musuem will organise guided tours of its exhibition ?Budapest in Modern Times? starting at 18:30.

The National Gallery will open its exhibition ?From Luther to Bauhaus?, housed in the Palace?s A building, from 18:30 until 22:00. Visitors will also be taken down to the Nádori crypt at 19:00, and the cupola terrace will be open from 18:30 until 21:30.

On September 23, Musica Historica will play renaissance and Turkish songs at the Budapest History Museum starting at 20:00. The museum will also host a guided tour of its exhibition ?Designed by Éva Mészáros ? 50 Years of Fashion? at 18:30. At 21:00, the designer herself will speak to visitors.

At the National Gallery, visitors will again have the chance to see the Nádori crypt at 19:00 and see the exhibition ?From Luther to Bauhaus? until 22:00. The cupola terrace will be open as well until 21:30, weather permitting.

The National Széchényi Library will host tours of the building starting at 18:45 and 21:00

Tickets cost HUF 1,800 for adults and HUF 900 for students and pensioners. A single ticket allows admission to events at all three institutions on any one Saturday evening.
