?A world-class gypsy band, Budapest Bar have garnered critical acclaim for their brilliantly imaginative re-invention of chanson, jazz, Brazilian music, film themes and gypsy traditions, inspired by the evocative and eccentric Budapest café culture of the 30s and 40s,? the festival organiers say on their website.
Led by virtuoso violinist Robert Farkas, the band features cimbalom player Mihaly Farkas, pianist and accordionist Karoly Ökrös and double bassist Richard Farkas, and includes international guests such as renowned vocalist Dori Behumi.
For BT River of Music Budapest Bar will be especially expanded to include musicians from 12 countries across Europe.
The band will play on the Europe stage in Trafalgar Square on Saturday, July 21.
