Budapest Film launched a CultureShock DVD series in 2006 then expanded the series with CultureShock Classics and CultureShock Docu series in 2007. This month CultureShock Cinema will be launched.
CultureShock Cinema will launch with the Hungarian premiere of Hallam Foe, directed by David Mackenzie, on March 20th. The film - a dark teenage love story - won the independent jury award and the best original soundtrack award at the 2007 Berlin Film Festival. Other films to be shown include Sam Garbarski's Irina Palm, Nadine Labaki's Caramel and Todd Hayne's Bob Dylan biography I'm Not There.
