Budapest Hosts Vysotsky Conference

The conference will be followed by a concert of Vysotsky?s songs at the Russian Cultural Centre.
 
The events mark the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Regional Intercultural and Russian Language Association, which is organising the events, said association chairman Péter Viczai.
 
The conference, the first on Vysotsky ever hosted in Hungary, will be addressed by chairman of the Hungarian Writers Association, János Szentmártoni.
 
As well as Hungary, conference participants will come from Russia, Bulgaria and Ghana. They will analyse Vysotsky?s songs, and poems and even discuss how his work can be used in Russian language learning.
 
The group Cécó-Akusztik will perform Vysotsky?s songs.
