Budapest Spring Festival Ticket Sales Reach 25,000

The events were 98 percent sold out and generated revenue of about 121 million forints.
 
Among the highlights of the 32nd Budapest Spring Festival were performances of The Infernal Comedy ? Confession of a Serial Killer with John Malkovich. The American actor said he would return to the capital next year with a similar piece called The Giacomo Variations.
 
The festival wound up with a performance by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Charles Dutoit.
 
Festival-goers were also offered concerts by the Russian pianist Maxim Vengerov, the Liszt Chamber Orchestra, I Musici di Roma and the National Philharmonic Orchestra
 
Altogether 56 events were on the programme. They were complemented by the ?Spring Fair? on Budapest?s central Vörösmarty Square, The City Sings project and a Percussion Day.
