The meeting, organised by the ministry and the Council of Europe, aims to foster the exchange of information between scholars, teachers and others who contribute to accurately presenting the Roma Holocaust to the public.
The conference will set up teams to prepare lesson plans and training materials in an effort to see the Roma Holocaust gets more attention in the education system.
Since 1972, the Roma Holocaust has been remembered each year on August 2 - the date in 1944 when the last Roma at the Auschwitz concentration camp were murdered.
