The festival - the largest ever show of Dutch and Flemish culture outside of the Netherlands - is slated to take place in Hungary in February and March of 2008.
Verhagen said the coordination centre stands as an excellent example of the lively cultural relationship between the Netherlands and Hungary.
Göncz said that Hungary, being a small country, is always happy to share its culture with other countries and to welcome the cultures of other countries.
More than 60 events, including concerts, films and fine arts exhibitions, will be organised for the festival, which takes its name from Lowlands, or Netherlands.
