Chameleon to Open L.A. Hungarian Film Festival

Films at the festival, which is organised by Béla Bunyik, will be screened at Raleigh Studios and the United Hungarian House of Los Angeles between November 5 and 15.

 
Chameleon, a film about a confidence man, is Hungary's entry for Best Foreign Language Film for the 2010 Academy Awards.
 
Other features on the programme are director Gergely Fonyó's Made in Hungaria, Gábor Herendi's A Kind of America 2 and Péter Gárdos's Prank, János Edelényi's Prima Primavera and György Szomjas's The Sun Street Boys.
 
The documentaries include Péter Forgács's film about Hungarian immigrants in America, Hunky Blues, Yale Strom's documentary A Man from Munkács, Emőke Konecsny's portrait film Gogo & George, Tamás Almási's Puskás Hungary and Bálint Kenyeres's short film The History of Aviation.
 
The festival's special section, entitled Hungarians in Hollywood. will include Gábor Csupó's animated feature The Immigrants (L.A. Dolce Vita), Éva Gárdos's film An American Rhapsody and Karchi Perlmann's award-winning The Dinner.
 
The festival awards will be presented on November 15.
