Charity Organises Multicultural Event At Gödör Club

The event will feature an eclectic and international line-up of musicians, including Chalaban, Korai Ütősök, the Szilvássy Gipsy Folk Band, Vodku v Glodku, Peca, R-GE, the M?Bye Ndiaye Senegali Drum Show, the N?Dombolo Dance Group and DJ Leen?gum. Also on the programme will be instruction in African dance.

In addition to music, the event aims to present AfroAid Hungary?s activities in Hungary as well as in Kenya, Ghana and Liberia, where the organisation?s members travel at their own expense to take part in ongoing humanitarian projects. These projects include efforts to develop community education with the help of volunteer teachers, to improve farmers? plight, to organise the adoption of orphans, to fight malaria and to establish community banking services, among others. AfroAid Hungary?s members also stage events in Budapest to publicize their cause and recruit more volunteers.

Tickets to the event are HUF 1,300. All proceeds will be used for AfroAid Hungary?s activities in Africa.
