Coldcut comprises DJs Matt Black and Jonathan More. The two met at a record store in the 80s. Black, a computer programmer, was browsing for samples to use in a mix competition. Former art teacher More ended up helping him with the mix.

Coldcut released its first single ?Say Kids, What Time Is It?? in 1987. Their remix ?Eric B. & Rakim Paid in Full? was released by Island Records the following year. The two DJs also collaborated on the pirate radio station KissFM and ran their own show, entitled ?Solid Steel?. The band?s first big hit was ?People Hold On? released in1988, with vocals by the still unknown singer Lisa Stansfield. In the same year, the two released the album ?The Only Way Is Up? under the name ?The Plastic Population?. The album quickly climbed to the top of the charts.

Groove Armada is a house band from Cambridge. Its members are 6'10" Andy Cato (aka Andrew Cocup) and Tom Findlay. The band found fame in 1997 with its limited issue single ?At the River?, which included ?Old Cape Cod? performed by Patti Page. Their next big hit was ?I See You Baby?, released in 2000. The hit was mixed by legendary DJ Fatboy slim and also used for a memorable advertisement for a car. A number of other Groove Armada releases have also been used in TV commercials. The band?s ?Hand of Time?, sung by Richie Havens, was included in the soundtrack for the film Collateral, and the number ?Edge Hill? was heard in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider.

De La Soul is a hip-hop band from Long Island, New York. They are famous for their eclectic experiments, surreal lyrics and their contribution to the jazz rap evolution. The band?s members are Kelvin Mercer (Posdnuos, Mercenary, Plug Wonder Why, Plug One), David Jude Jolicoeur (Trugoy the Dove, Dave, Plug Two) and Vincent Mason (P.A. Pasemaster Mase, Maseo, Plug Three). The trio was formed while its members were still in high school, and they soon attracted the attention of producer Paul Huston (Prince Paul).

DJ Ronin started his career at private and school parties in 1995. A few years later, he moved to Copenhagen where he started developing his own unique style in local clubs. Since then, he has performed in the UK, Germany, Croatia, Thailand, China, Hong Kong and South Africa. In 2005, he won the Heineken Thirst DJ competition held in Cape Town, South Africa. This summer, DJ Ronin played next to Erick Morillo at the Roskilde festival.
