Contract awarded for Hungarian pavilion at 2010 World Expo

English

The Hungarian pavilion, completed a week ago, was designed to resemble the Gömböc, a Hungarian invention that rights itself when in stable equilibrium, not because of weight, but because of its shape.

The government decided in the spring of 2006 to participate at the 2010 World Expo. In 2007, it approved HUF 3.3 billion in spending for its participation at the fair.

The event is expected to draw 400,000-800,000 visitors a day, or a total of 70 million people.
