No Hungarian galleries have ever participated at the fair, and the presence of galleries form Central and Eastern Europe has been sparse.
The Hungarian Cultural Centre in Brussels is inviting applications from galleries that would like to participate at the art show. It will select the best ones and pay the participation fee, the cost of accommodation for one representative of each gallery and the cost of transporting art to the fair.
The deadline for applying is October 1, 2008.
Last year's Art Brussels drew about 60,000 visitors.
