Wenderlich, who arrived in Hungary on Szőcs?s invitation, expressed his appreciation of the fact that Prime Minister Viktor Orbán?s first visit after the elections in Hungary this year took him to Poland, thus further strengthening the unique historical links and friendship between the two countries.
He also noted that Hungary was the first European Union member that included culture among the priorities of its EU presidency. Szőcs said that the cultural diversity and tolerance that characterised Europe can contribute to its stability.
Participants at the meeting also discussed cooperation between filmmakers in Hungary and Poland. The Polish delegation included Agnieszka Odorowicz, director of the Polish Film Institute.
