Design Week will offer visitors a look at the latest trends in Hungarian and foreign design.
Works submitted for this year's Hungarian design awards, along with award winners, will go on display at the Museum of Applied Arts. Award winners from the past five years will also be exhibited along with a travelling exhibition from MOME entitled TasteMOMEnts.
Hungary's hottest new fashions will be put on the catwalk, and a selection of Italy's best designers called Made in Italy will travel to Budapest after being shown in New York, London and Berlin.
Pecha Kucha Night will feature a fast-moving overview of Hungarian and foreign designers' latest projects.
Several of Hungary's best-known interior designers will lead tours of some of Budapest's finest hotels.
A mini-exhibition series called Portfolio will present the work of young illustrators at 20 venues, including galleries, cafés and shops, throughout the city.
The Dutch designer Marcel Wanders will hold a presentation at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design (MOME).
