The documentary, which has the working title Photographer, follows Szipál's adventurous story from Hungary to the U.S., where he served in the U.S. Air Force before becoming a photographer, then back to Hungary. But it also examines his approach to photography and his life philosophy.
Work on the film started in February, and already 30-40 hours of footage have been shot. The final product will be 40 or 50 minutes long.
The film's producer is Filmworks, whose office in Budapest's Falk Miksa Street faces Szipál's.
