Contemporary Private Collectors 2008 will show works from 25 private collections, including those of several well-known personalities, among them Károly Gerendai, who founded the Sziget Festival, a week-long musical extravaganza on an island in the Danube, and Róbert Alföldi, one of Hungary's best known actors and directors, who recently took the top post at the National Theatre.
Contemporary Private Collectors 2008 aims to show, by example, how the contemporary fine arts can be supported. The publication had a print run of 20,000, but it can also be viewed online.
EDGE Communications also recently published a selection of works from Hungary's corporate art collections.
