Almost all outdoor scenes for the film, which is based on historical records, are being shot in Hungary, according to József Cirkó, managing director of Happy Crew Company Media, which is assisting with the shooting. Outdoor scenes which take place in Israel will be shot in January in Malta, he said.

The film is being directed by Robert Young. It stars Thomas Kretschmann, Troy Garity, Franka Potente and Stephen Fry. Kretschmann is already well known for his roles in Roman Polanski?s ?The Pianist? as well as ?The Downfall: Hitler and the End of the Third Reich?.

Eichmann was in charge of the deportation of Jews and others in Nazi Germany, and he oversaw the operation of the concentration camps. He fled to Buenos Aires after the war and remained in hiding until 1960, when Israeli secret agents captured him. He was tried in Israel a year later and sentenced to hang.

The film recounts Eichmann?s confession to Avner Less, a young Israeli police captain, before he was hanged, said Cirkó. The film also shows the young state of Israel searching for its identity and how it is to declare this to the world, he added.
