Esterházy Wins Polish Prize

The Kossuth Prize-winning Esterházy, beat six other finalists for the award, among them the famous German writer Günter Grass. Another Hungarian book, The Melancholy of Resistance by László Krasznahorkai, was among the 40 works shortlisted for the Angelus Award.

 
The award, presented for the third time, was named after the 17th century theologian Angelus Silesius. It comes with a purse of about HUF 10 million.
