Hatházi won the award for his role in a production of Chekhov's Uncle Vanya by the Hungarian State Theatre of Cluj-Napoca. UNITER also presented the production's director - the Romanian Andrei Serban, who lives in the United States - with the best director award.

The production garnered nominations for awards in five categories from critics.

The production was not the only cause for celebration for the Hungarian State Theatre of Cluj. At the UNITER awards ceremony, it was announced the theatre has been admitted as a full member to the European Theatre Union (UTE).

Gábor Tompa, the director of the Hungarian State Theatre of Cluj, told the local Hungarian-language daily Új Magyar Szó that it was a great honour for theatre to be accepted into UTE.
