?Joy of Hungary? will start on Friday with the reception of a copy of the Holy Crown in cooperation with the Republic Regiment?s Guard of Honour, said city spokeswoman Valentina Takács.
Mayor Gábor Zombor will greet the crown together with 14 groups of ethnic Hungarian youth as well as church leaders at 4pm.
?Children?s Magic ? Meeting of Cultures? will follow an hour later on the main square in front of the town hall.
The day will wind up with an evening performance of Stephen the King, a popular Hungarian rock opera.
In the more than two decades since the Future of Europe International Children and Youth Meeting -- commonly referred to as the Csiperó Festival ? was established, Kecskemét has hosted 8,000 children from 80 settlements in 27 countries, according towww.csipero.hu.
The Future of Europe Association says its task ?is exactly the same after the millenium as it was at its birth: helping the citizens of Europe so that the children of today become a tolerant generation, free from all prejudices and accepting people and their differences?.
