EU Presidency - Budapest, Brussels to host closing parties

(MTI) - Government spokeswoman Anna Nagy said the three-day festival at 11 locations throughout Budapest will include events for all ages and they will be free of charge.
    

Cultural institutes of EU countries will be presented on the western side of the Danube embankment north of the Chain Bridge and Hungary's recent Eurovision contestant Kati Wolf will give a concert on Saturday evening. A world music choral work will be performed by Serbian, German and Hungarian singers at the newly- developed Kopaszi dam parkland area south of Lagymanyosi Bridge also on Saturday, she added. 
    
EU Presidency spokesperson Piroska Bakos highlighted a procession of boats on the Danube which will also feature Polish dragon boats.
    
On the Esplanade of the European Parliament in Brussels, stage performers, game masters and artisans will create a playful atmosphere and a Hungarian village will be set up to welcome visitors on Thursday. Hungarian Minister of State Eniko Gyori will present a ceremonial speech, to be followed by a concert of the Kerekes Band.
