European Capital of Culture to present itself in Turku

Programmes will start on Thursday with the opening of an exhibition of fine art works by six artists from Pecs in the Brinkkala Gallery, said the director of the Helsinki Cultural Institute.
   
On the next day the Besh o droM group will give a concert playing a mix of eastern European and Balkan tunes, said Ildiko Markus.
   

 Behind the Mirror

The GoBe group of young dancers will perform their choreography "Behind the Mirror" at several venues including the Aurinkobaletti Theatre, Turku's central market place and the shop window of the largest department store Sokos Wiklund, on the weekend. The production has been made in partnership with the Finish PerformanceSirkus group.

   
Hungarian films will be screened in the Turku City library in mid-April.
