The exhibition, called ?Between The Lines?, was opened by Hungarian Minister of Education and Culture István Hiller on the occasion of a joint Hungarian-Romanian cabinet meeting. Hiller?s Romanian counterpart Adrian Iorgulescu also made a speech at the opening.
The exhibition shows never-before-published documents from the archives of Romania?s secret police about protests in Romania which were inspired by the events in Hungary. In addition to the documents, the exhibition presents newspapers, radio broadcasts and music from the autumn of 1956.
