(MTI) - The event starts with the theatre piece "Springville" in the Trafo contemporary culture centre on Thursday evening, Trafo's spokeswoman said. Directed by young artist Miet Warlop, "Springville" evokes a world after a natural disaster where half-human and half-box characters live in a cardboard world, said Dora Juhasz.

Trafo will also present the choreography "Rosas Bartok/Microcosmos" by the internationally renowned modern dance company of Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker, taking music from Bartok's Microcosmos series for two pianos and Gyorgy Ligeti's Monument-Self portrait-Movement, she said.

The Arts Hall at Heroes Square will present at its "Eating the Beard" exhibition over 100 oil paintings, drawings and multimedia shows by Michael Borremans, an artist inspired by surrealism, the museum said.

Futurspektiv, sponsored by the Flemish government, was launched in 2009 and is now being brought to Hungary for the second time, this time to celebrate Hungary's ongoing EU Presidency, Andre Hebbelinck, the Flemish government's representative for central Europe told MTI.
