filmklik.hu is running its French Film Month from May 14 until June 11. During the period, cinephiles can watch twelve French films - which will also be shown on the silver screen at Budapest's Művész cinema - as well as comments on the films by the Hungarian directors Dániel Erdélyi, Diana Groó, Gábor Fischer and Ferenc Török. filmklik.hu will also offer regular reports on the Cannes Film Festival.

Merry Christmas

The films on the programme include the romantic comedy Un baiser s'il vous plaît (Shall We Kiss?); a film about the life of Franocois Mitterand entitled Le Promeneur du champ de Mars (The Last Mitterand); a black comedy following in the tradition of Fargo called Ordinary Man; the French answer to the Da Vinci Code, Ce que mes yeux ont vu (The Vanishing Point); a first feature by Céline Sciamma, among the youngest generation of French directors, called Naissance des pieuvres (Water Lilies); Philippe Garrel's award-winning film Les Amants réguliers (Regular Lovers); the controversial film about a woman coping with a psychological disorder Le Yeux clairs (Pale Eyes); Vers le sud (Heading South) with Charlotte Rampling; the last film by the recently deceased provocateur Alain Robbe-Grillet, Gradiva; the WWI story Joyeux Noël (Merry Christmas); and a film with Gérard Depardieu that showed at this year's Titanic Film Festival: Quand j'étais chanteu (The Singer).
