The Hungarian culture week was organised by the Hungarian Cultural Institute and the Hungarian Embassy in Helsinki, the local council of Joensuu and various local organisations. It included a programme of films, exhibitions, dance performances, concerts, literature readings and even a sampling of Hungarian cuisine.
On the film programme were Iszka's Journey, White Palms, Milky Way, Fresh Air and Werckmeister Harmonies.
