The profits, both organised by Sziget, a unit of IT-cum-media company econet.hu, show the global economic and financial crisis is having little effect on Hungary's festival scene.
Profits of Balaton Sound jumped about 50 percent from last year.
Between 160,000 and 170,000 visitors came to the two festivals.
Sziget's biggest event, the Sziget Festival, a week-long musical extravaganza on an island in the Danube, will take place on August 12-17. Its Peninsula Festival will be held in the Romanian city of Targu Mures on July 23-26.
