The festival will open with the world premiere of Lars von Trier?s latest film on Friday. Afterward, it will offer festival goers screenings of some 300 films.
?Just Sex and Nothing Else? will play in the selection of romantic films entitled ?Love is in the Air?, while ?White Palms? will be featured in the ?Panorama? programme.
Ágnes Kocsis?s first feature film, ?Fresh air?, has been invited to compete with eight other films for the festival?s Alice Award, reserved for female directors. The award pays homage to the first Danish female director Alice O?Fredericks.
The ?Masters? selection will include István Szabó?s ?Relatives?, an adaptation of Zsigmond Móricz?s novel of the same name. In addition to film screenings, festival goers will have the chance to attend seminars at the Danish Film Academy presented by Stephan Frears, Robby Müller, Amos Gitai, István Szabó and the producer János Rózsa.
