The institute is organising an array of programmes that will bring people in Hungary closer to the cultures of French-speaking countries. In addition to Budapest, events will be held in Debrecen, Győr, Miskolc, Pécs and Szeged on March 5-20.
In Budapest, the institute will host a live broadcast of the cult radio show Les Papous dans la tete - the show's first abroad - on March 7 and 8. It will host an exhibition of Belgian comic books on March 6-14, and it will show a five-film marathon on the evening of March 15. Those who make it through all of the films will be rewarded with a continental breakfast in the morning.
Other events on the programme include an exhibition of paintings from Slovenia, a classical concert with Swiss and Hungarian musicians, a dance performance from Romania, a poetry reading and presentations of tourism and gastronomy by the countries involved.
