?The project will attempt to promote and raise the profile of contemporary Hungarian art as well as offer artists the chance to promote their own activities,? B & B says in the call for submissions. ?We consider it important that foreigners visiting our country do not just bring home stereotypical impressions of Hungary but get to know the exciting and worthwhile side of the country, brining home tangible pieces of a vibrant and artistic life.?
Submissions must be no larger than 60X40cm, but may include a diverse range of work, such as paintings, photographs, sculptures, collages, industrial art objects and one-of-a-kind T-shirts. Artists may bring at most three works to the gallery, at Király utca 39, for consideration.
The artist and the gallery will agree on a price for the work and, if sold, the proceeds will be split in equal part between the artist and the foundation that runs the gallery.
Works may be submitted between August 23 and September 6.
