The jury made up of sport and cultural journalists said the book presents "football as a comic and moving family story."
Esterházy will be presented the award at a ceremony in Nuremberg on October 2. The award comes with a cash purse of EUR 5,000.

No Art was published in Hungary by Magvető in the spring of 2008. It was published in Germany by Berlin Verlag in a translation by Terézia Mora in the spring of 2009.
