In addition to the letters, which turned up in the Goethe and Schiller archives, the foundation also acquired a cast of Liszt?s hand as a child and a portable writing set that, like his ?silent piano?, allowed him to compose during long journeys.
The new acquisitions will be put on display in the Liszt house in Weimar from next spring.
