The production has been performed in Western Europe but will be seen for the first time in Hungary on October 8, said company director János Kiss. The premiere of Zorba was postponed for a year because choreographer Gyula Harangozó fell ill, he added.
The piece, entitled La vie en rose, is accompanied by a selection of French chanson. It will involve the entire Győr company.
Van Cauwenbergh is no stranger to the Győr Ballet: last year, his choreography to the music of the pop group Queen drew much praise.
