The programme begins with a piece choreographed by Sándor Román based on the last movement of Bartók's Concerto for Orchestra. Schubert's Death and the Maiden is the inspiration for the American choreographer Robert North's piece, and the Brit Christopher Bruce has used the music of the Rolling Stones for his Rooster.
The performance will premiere at an invitation-only gala on October 30. The first public performance will take place a day later at the Győr National Theatre. The show will come to Budapest's Palace of Arts on December 3.
The Győr Theatre will open an exhibition of photographs from the ballet's first 30 years on October 37. Screenings of documentary footage of the troupe can be seen at the theatre until November 8.
