The Győr Ballet, which is the only company from Eastern Europe invited to participate in the programme, will perform Stravinsky's Petrushka and The Rite of Spring at the Joyce Theatre.
The ballet's 31st season will also take them to Austria, Germany and Switzerland in March. In addition to the Stravinsky pieces, the troupe will perform a piece inspired by Charlie Chaplain, and in Germany, it will show Carmen, a new production.
The ballet was invited to perform its piece Gaudi abroad as well, but had to turn down the invitation after the set for the production was stolen from a warehouse in Gyor.
The troupe will give 30 performances in Hungary, including 17 in Győr and ones in Debrecen, Pécs and Szolnok, as well as at the Palace of Arts in Budapest.
The ballet will present a two-part gala evening in Győr featuring a choreography by Robert North based on Schubert's Death and the Maiden as well as Christopher Bruce's choreography The Rooster, based on songs by The Rolling Stones.
On December 7, the ballet will perform at Budapest's Grand Circus with the Liszt Orchestra.
New members joining the troupe this season are Adrienn Matuza, Georgina Szendrei, Alexandra Hancz, Kristóf Csősz and Artem Podzev. László Velekei will return to the troupe in role of artistic assistant in charge of youth programmes.
