Historically Hungarian churches in Transylvania will get a little more than RON 3 million to renovate or build churches and community meeting places, about the same as last year. But the churches in Harghita County will get just RON 65,000 this year, considerably less than the 500,000 in 2008.
Chairman of the Harghita County local council Csaba Borboly said that the shortfall in central government support would be compensated with local funding.
