The master potter was invited to Japan by Hoshi Shoji, the company that distributes Herend products in Japan.
Members of the audience at the demonstrations could try their hand at shaping the pieces as well as making decorative roses or chrysanthemums.
The demonstrations attracted interest from Japanese pottery artists as well as porcelain buyers and collectors.
Herend's success in Japan can be partly explained by the Japanese people's emphasis on preserving cultural traditions.
