Hungarian Academic Gets Russian Prize

The prize, established by the Russian Writers? Association and the local government of
Ulyanovsk in 2006, was presented on Monday to mark the 200th anniversary of Goncharov?s birth.
 
Molnár has written a number of books and essays on Goncharov.
 
?I have been studying Goncharov since 1955 and this is my third book. I hope I can continue my research in Russia and my work to promote the writer in Hungary. The prize is a further encouragement for my work,? Molnár said.
 
The prize came with a 500,000 rouble purse.
